Hi, I’m Marije! Founder of Liebe & Liefde and a wedding & event planner who supports you with love, calmness, and a steady hand – both in the heat of the moment and in every step leading up to it.

I grew up as a down-to-earth Frisian – surrounded by meadows in the small Dutch village of Broeksterwoude. From early on, I knew I wanted to explore the world! I lived in Groningen, Oslo, Brussels, and Amsterdam before love brought me to Düsseldorf a few years ago. Today, I live there with my fiancé in a house with a beautiful garden – and my love for greenery has never left me.

Liebe & Liefde was founded in May 2025, but I have been working in the event industry for over eight years. From international congresses in Australia to online business anniversaries during the pandemic, from multi-day incentives for 500+ colleagues to Christmas parties, concert evenings, and countless other corporate event formats – before I turned to weddings, I had the privilege of organizing a wide variety of projects and gained a wealth of valuable experience.

I believe in perfect timing and thoughtful planning – and above all, that every couple deserves a wedding that truly reflects who they are. Your wedding should feel like you.
